As a volunteer with the Pro Bono Project, you will receive valuable training, both formally and informally. By offering training in areas of law that are underserved, the Project not only meets the needs of the community but also helps young attorneys establish their practices.
We offer MCLE courses in family law, immigration, bankruptcy and consumer protection, landlord/tenant, employment law and others. Volunteer attorneys receive a substantial discount on the tuition for these courses.
Attorneys with expertise in these areas are available to mentor you and offer practical advice with Pro Bono cases.
"Volunteering at PBP took me from an initial position of “anything but family law” to becoming a Certified Specialist. I would say that was a rather significant shaping of my career, quite directly as a result of PBP."
