In Honor of Martin Luther King Day of Service, join us on February 13, 2013, from 12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. to launch the “Virtual Legal Clinic,” leveraging internet-based technology to broaden delivery of pro bono services in our community.
“Virtual Legal Clinic” connects volunteer attorneys with low-income clients in need of legal advice remotely through online web conferencing. An attorney can provide legal consultation from any location with an Internet connection. A client can go to a convenient local site, such as a library, local legal aid office, or community center, to seek advice. The consultations are supervised and managed by a legal service organization that provides training, logistics, and risk management support.
Come learn about the program and how you can help.
